this was a 2 year 2016 /66 plate pickup with full dealer service history £18500 40K mileage after doing deal on phone and getting the part ex we wanted on our car and the figures we wanted and then got a personal video of car that looked good 1 scuff mark pointed out. so far so good! we went to dealers a two hour 75 mile trip there to look at the pickup and check tht it was as good as it looked in video and was what they said it looked like . at first glance it looked ok till I looked closer .... it was not as they had said on phone . the 1 small scuff mark on rear wheel arch actually was a glide mark starting on the side step all marked and on both sides of wheel arch the tyre had a four inch split in it ( no pointed out !!) and drivers door had small dents in it (not pointed out either) . the pickup in side had hardly been cleaned in side ready for sale even though he said they had cleaned it that morning ! during conversation whilst looking the sales guy asked me if I new much about cars I said that I did ......as I have built cars and bikes and put engines in others etc . but that was not the worst of it the sales guy asked if I would like to look under bonnet and I said yes, I looked around under there checking things like you do, I pulled out the dip stick to look and found it had no oil on it !!!! at first I thought that I was wrong and that the oil was so clean that I was mistaken so checked two more times thinking that I was not looking right but no there was no oil on dip stick I even wiped the dip stick with my bare hand and got nothing on it there was no oil not even at the lowest level not a drop!!!! I told the sales guy about this and showed him and he said oh are you sure I as it was only seviced 5k miles ago so I put dip stick back in pulled it out again to show him and he said ok . do you want me to take the pickup to the mechanics so they can put some oil in it for you before we go for a test drive then ..............???!!! I said no I am no longer interested in the pickup and told him that I would not buy a car or pickup that not even had a trace of oil on dip stick. I pitty the person who does by this vehicle as the oil I bet will be in it now !!!

Daughter visited here on Monday 16th May, she needed new wheel bolts. This been her first car and she's not a mechanic, she walked in and explained that she had been advised to visit arnold clark for the new bolts. Two gentlemen, and I use that term extremely loosely, actually laughed in her face and told "your in wrong department" then proceeded to laugh at her again. No wonder car salesmen have such a bad reputation. Avoid this place at all costs

I have been using this garage for many years for Ford servicing, from the time that it was run by GK. When Arnold Clark took it over, most of the original staff were retained, so that many of their older engineers and the front of house Senior Service Manager stayed on. The latter, Graeme Tyson, is first class, with an extensive technical knowledge and very pleasant personality. All staff are very helpful.
