"Caused damage and refusing to pay"
By Susan Lloyd, 4 May 2020

My son had a problem with his wheelchair, a screw that we could not tighten. I rang in and was told to bring it in as they could fix the issue. So I travelled down, and we were asked to stand away from the rear doubled doors because of the virus. My son had this chair from Kushall at christmas so it's not old by any means. I stood there, and could hear aggresive banging, not for one minute did I think at the time that was my sons wheelchair only later to find out it was. This aggresive banging went on for 10 minutes, then the mechanic came out and said he could not remove the bolt. I did not notice the damage at the time as I wanted to give the chair back to my son who had been in bed all this time because he is disabled and has no use of his legs, so I loaded the car up and went home. When I got back My son saw the damage before me and just cried he was so upset, they had completely bent the frame out of shape, the chair is now unuseable, when he sat in it there was a cracking sound. I connacted the garage who replied that there is no damage and the chair is fine. I gave them photos and you can clearly see the damage on the frame. They are more interested in their business, than the problem they have caused, the mechanic said he hit it with a hammer and chisel. why would you do that on a small frame? if he was unsure he should not have touched it. Now my son is dragging himself around the house as he has no wheelchair, it is horrible to see. we have sat and cried about this and Yes it is my fault for trusting them and now my son is paying the price. his window on life is now closed and he will spend most of his days in bed in pain, until I can buy a new chair. The garage fully knows all this and not once have they asked how he is coping, and if they can help in any way, they are just interested if they will lose work because of this, it is disgusting. But they are ok and thats all that matters right? And now to find out they charge may mom for special oil, so instead of their advertise oil change price, she had to pay for "special Oil" and cost her £160 instead disgusting, the oil she need was only a 5W 30, standard oil not special. Also found out they are in Money trouble and the garage is being liquidated, they have a liquidantion company involved. Do not use them at any cost because if they cause damage to your car, you will have difficulty taking them to court because of the liquidation.

"nded up being charged £120!! Then the sump plug leaked oil as it wasn't installed properly, garage told me to drive it back with no oil"

Brought in for a simple oil change and was quoted £65, seemed friendly at first and left my family members car with them. When it was complete I got a call from the female director of the garage telling me that they had to order a "special oil" and it has been put in the vehicle and that the charge is now £120, I could not beleive this and questioned it to which the lady got very red in the face and started getting aggressive telling me that if I don't pay I'm not getting the vehicle back! At this point I was just questioning the high costs compared to what I was qouted.. I ended up paying as I didn't want any conflict. I noticed on the way back to the family members house that the engine sounded knocky, I returned the car and stayed with them for a bit to explain what had happened and I would cover the cost for my vunerable family member. On going to leave I noticed a large puddle of oil under the vehicle on the drive and a trail on the road leading to her drive - I called the garage pretty furious at this point to which they told me to drive it back, yes I repeat drive it back with the car leaking significant amounts of oil - what makes it worse is that they have a tow truck and could have picked the car up (less than 6 miles away) - the lady again was being very aggressive so I drove it back and they took a look, they told me that the mechanic forgot to fit the copper seal on the sump plug and fully tighten the sump plug up they were not apologetic they just sorted the sump plug and topped up the oil - I'm hoping there is no perminant damage to the vehicle due to their very poorly trained mechanics and aggressive owner. Safe to say I'm having the car inspected elsewehre and if there is any perminant damage I will taking them to court to cover the costs of repairs - I strongly recommend staying away from this poor excuse of a garage

I took my Fiat to Albrighton Garage with a faulty power steering unit and being in desperate need of a service. I had priced the jobs elsewhere and was really happy with not only the quote but far more importantly the level of service received, which compared very favourably with the better commercial garages I have been to. I was made to feel valued and the friendly attitude of all the staff really helped. My car is running perfectly and I couldn't say a bigger thanks to the team.
