I have been in France for the past six months and return to the UK in November. My Volvo C30, diesel, will have travelled 12,500 miles since its last service in about one month's time. It was last serviced in November 2009, at which time it had covered a total of 8,600 miles. I could have it serviced by a local Volvo dealer in Perpignan, or by a highly recommended independent mechanic in the town I am staying at in south-west France. Alternatively, I could wait and have it serviced in UK, by which time around 15,000 miles will have elapsed between services. What would you advise?
