Do I need to replace all four tyres on my BMW if the front two are wearing?
My BMW agent say that it isn't recommended that (in my case with wearing front tyres) the front tyre pair should be replaced without the rears being replaced at the same time. The reason is that the 4WD system cannot cope with greater than 2mm difference in tread depth between front and rear pairs. Is this advice correct?
Yes, that advice is correct for a BMW with xDrive. Wise to even out the wear by switching front to back the same side after 10,000 miles.
