Are dealers obliged to pay for repairs within the first three months of selling a car?

I bought an Alpha Romeo from a dealer in March. The wheel bearing and rear boot went within two weeks and now the turbo is faulty. I have a two year warranty but they are squirming about paying by trying to exclude certain items. Are they under obligation in the first three months to sell a merchantable quality car for ALL faults aside from the warranty? I live a long way from dealership and have had work done by a local garage. What should I do?
They are liable for any fault for the first six months. If they don't fix it or pay to have it fixed, sue them in Small Claims: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/
