Have I got a case against the garage that MoT'd my car and missed important issues?
I had an MoT one month, and about 300 miles, ago. The only advisory was a rubber mounting. I took it to Honda for their spring checkover and the rear brake is down to the metal with a seized caliper which requires immediate repair. Surely this would not have happened since the MoT. Have I got a case against the garage that did the MoT?
No. Because the MoT is a purely visual inspection and various tests, with no dismantling. If the brakes passed the test the MoT would have deemed them okay.
