I'm considering an ex-management car - is a fluid change necessary on a car with only 400 miles on it?
I'm considering buying a delivery mileage (400 miles) car that is now 13 months old. I'm told it's an ex-management car, and so has been parked up. I asked about fluid change and salesman says it's not necessary with synthetic oil and "condition-based servicing." I was also told there was no need to spare the horses on a test drive nowadays. Am I right to be cautious, or have things moved on so much?
Unless the car is for sale at the used price of a 13-month equivalent, leave the salesman with it.
