Why does my Ford Focus 1.6 TDCi keep cutting out suddenly while driving?

My Ford Focus 1.6 TDCi runs fine for 35 - 40 miles, then cuts out as if the ignition was turned off. When I stop and turn off the ignition and then restart it then it runs fine. This is a repeating problem. Do you know what it could be?
It would appear that one of the sensors fitted is faulty, however, it may be best at this stage to have a diagnostic check carried out as this should identify the fault and save both time and money. Things it could be are the APP (accelerator pedal position sensor), CKP (crankshaft position sensor) or FRP (fuel rail pressure sensor).
