Skoda Rapid - is the 1.2 TSI engine any good?
I have found our ideal car in the form of a used Skoda Rapid. However, before buying, I wanted your advice regarding the engine.
-Is the 1.2 TSI any good?
-Is it a cam belt or chain engine?
-If it's a belt when should it be changed?
Originally this engine was chain. But round about 2012/2013 it changed to belt and I can't tell you which your car has. It's difficult to tell by looking at the engine. If it's belt, 4-5 years or 50-60k miles whichever comes first.
