Can I have my Ford Kuga Powershift serviced by an independent garage?
My 2010 Ford Kuga will be coming up for its sixth service this year.
At the third service the main dealer replaced the Powershift transmission oil and advised this was a three yearly event. This procedure was quite pricey and I'm wondering of I could have the work done by an independent garage this time?
You could do, but if they do it wrong and don't replace the filter because something like that you could be in for a very expensive transmission repair with no help from Ford. The main reasons why Powershifts fail is that owners don't get this job done.
