Skoda Octavia gearbox oil change
I am pondering if the gearbox oil should be changed on my 2005 Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI five-speed. I has done 150,000 miles. Over the last four months the shift between gears is becoming a bit notchy. The clutch still has plenty of take up. Or would it be better to adjust the shifter cables? Else the gearbox appears to function well.
Won't do it any harm. Take expert advice and consider a different transmission oil with a molybednum disulphide additive such as STP.
