Why won't Volvo cover warranty claims on my 2009 XC70?
Five weeks ago I bought a 2009 Volvo XC70 from a Volvo garage. I was told it had two years of Volvo guarantee. However I found, after a week, that the service had not been done on time. Today I heard from the garage that Volvo would not put back the guarantee and would not cover any warranty claims. They have offered an insurance warranty which I do not want. Can I refuse the car?
It's difficult for you to argue your case because the garage has offered an insured warranty. You do need to get a written assurance that anything that would have been covered by the Volvo warranty will be covered by the insured warranty, or by the supplying dealer itself.
