Does my 2006 Volkswagen Passat need a timing belt replacement?

I have been told that my 2006 Volkswagen Passat - due for its annual service - will also need a timing/cam belt replacement, based on the age of the car and not miles covered (about 12,500). Would the price of £340 be fair? Also is £247 reasonable for a 4-year service and MoT?
Standard VAG edict and yes, £340 is quite cheap for the job, but not if it doesn't include a new timing belt tensioner and on these engines the water pump is also driven by the timing belt.
