What could have caused my air conditioning unit to fail?
Having read your column for several years I am aware of the need to occasionally switch on the aircon during the winter months. Despite having done this I now find that my aircon no longer operates when I switch it on. Is there something else that can go wrong? How much would one expect to pay for air con servicing?
It normally costs £60 - £80 for an a/c re-gas. But if there is a serious leak, for example from a holed condenser, then you are in for a much bigger bill.
