Should I demand an oil change for my 2012 BMW X3?

Our 2012 BMW F25 X3 is almost a year old. The on-screen computer recommends the next service in 11 months, the car having covered 5600 miles from new, and we have the 5-year service pack. I am not happy to drive for two years with the same oil in the sump. What do you recommend: argue and lose with BMW UK, or just change it privately?
Simply tell the BMW dealer to change the oil. It's your car. You give the orders. This will not affect the warranty. A few BMW engines have been suffering timing chain tensioner failure from the Longlife oil change regime.
