When should I change the timing belt/chain on my Pajero?
I have bought my first car, which is a 1996 Mitsubishi Pajero 2.5 diesel. It has 98,800 miles on the clock and the previous owner told me it has never had its timing belt or chain changed?
You are way past the normal limit for a timing belt and should have it done ASAP. And this does have a timing belt - the 2.8 diesel is chain.
