Is this too expensive for my service?
Bought a second hand car from Honda main dealer for £8k Jan 2011. 19000 miles on the clock. Took it for first service recently at 29,000 miles. Needed two new tyres, replaced front and back brake pads and discs. Also few bits and bobs. Am I right to be dismayed that such a relatively young car (Jan 2008) only used for pootling around Guildford by a Community midwife, should need this expensive calicre of work after owning it for only 19 months?
£1,000 is a lot. But it's usually expensive to buy tyres from a dealer. Re[lacing front and rear brake discs and pads will also be expensive. Probably £300 for the service and £700 for the tyres and brakes.
