Does the Mazda Bongo use an interference or non-interference engine?

I have a 2.5-litre V6 petrol Mazda Bongo. The cam belt is shot to pieces after a recent breakdown. Does the Mazda Bongo use an interference or non-interference engine?
Most sources seem to suggest it is an interference engine and there is a risk of damage when a cambelt fails. This doesn't guarantee that valves etc are bent after the cambelt failure, though, and a mechanic can inspect to be sure.
