How long should a set of brake pads and discs last?
How many miles should the brake pads and discs last with normal driving on my 2018 Dacia Sanders?
If you drive the car regularly and calmly then I see no reason why a set of pads and discs won't last up to 60,000 miles or six years.
However, if you don't cover many miles and leave the car standing outside in the elements for long periods, you'll be lucky to get 25,000 miles or three years.
Brake discs are essentially exposed metal, which means they will rust. Regular use will scrape the rust off each time you drive the car. But leave a vehicle standing for weeks at a time outside and the corrosion will ruin the surface of the disc.
