Having read the article 'Should I service my car a dealer?' (https://good-garage-guide.honestjohn.co.uk/how-to-guides/should-i-service-my-car-at-a-dealer/) I fully understand the independent garage has to use approved parts and adhere to manufacturers standards but what happens with the manufacturers' updates on the car onboard computer, can the independent garage download from all the car companies? Surely this would cost them too much money?
