I am thinking of buying a Jaguar XF but do not want to pay Jaguar dealer servicing prices. Can you recommend any independent Jaguar service centres around the Wigan/north west area?
No, I don't recommend buying a new car as sophisticated as this and not using Jaguar dealers to service it. The main reason in this case is
Technical Service Bulletins by which modifications and improvements will be carried out to the car by the dealer while it is in for service. Not
only that, independents do not have online diagnostic facilities for these cars. So while, in theory, you could have it serviced outside Jaguar without affecting the warranty I strongly advise against this, at least until the car is 5 or 6 years old.
