What are the costs and frequency of servicing for electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid cars?

Is there any data on the costs and frequency of servicing for electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid cars? Also, is the introduction of this new technology likely to result in some independent garages being unable to service these vehicle types? I use an excellent independent moderately priced garage and would not wish to depend on a large franchised business to do the work.
Maintenance costs for electric vehicles are lower than petrol or diesel cars as there are fewer moving parts. A minor service on a Nissan Leaf, for example, will cost £159 at a Nissan dealer (compared to £229 for a petrol alternative or £269 for a diesel). The Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Repair Alliance has a list of garages prepared to work on electric or hybrid vehicles, including a lot of small independent garages: hevra.org.uk/garages.html
