Obstacle Corsa
3 or 4 Saturdays ago you advised owners of Corsas to get a certain part checked at each service. My wife has a Corsa and I meant to cut out this piece of information but I forgot to do so. Can you please remind me which part it was?
Camshaft retaining stretch bolts. On 1.0 litre, 1.2 litre and 1.4 litre engines they loosen and this can lead to the engine self-destructing. Because they are ‘stretch’ bolts they need to be replaced completely. They cannot simply be re-tightened. The cost of this might be why Vauxhall dealers to not recommend this check.
