shame i can't put less than a 1* rating down. went in because my cabriolet roof was not working. told them it was making all the right noises but would not go up or down. they told me it would be £49.99 for a computer diagnostic test. then told me it was the hydraulic system and it would cost me £4k for the part and £1k labour (my cars worth about £800 now) FIVE THOUSAND POUNDS! so obviously i didn't go there. went to IPB Motor Services in Chingford whereby it was checked by them and found out to be a BROKEN WIRE and NOT the hydraulic pump. I complained to renault who didn't want to refund me as they said they had spent "time and money with the diagnostic check" I told them that i had brought it in TELLING them that the roof would not go up and down and that it was making the right noises so why a mechanic could not tell me for free without charging me £49.99 for a computer to misdiagnose i don't understand! but i persevered and got my £49.99 refunded with the excuse the "computer probably misdiagnosed" - totally incompetant staff and even the receptionist lets you walk past her without even acknowledging you! i shall be taking this matter further as i wonder how many other renault owners have been ripped off by them and their diagnostic tests!
