Car taken in for MOT and AirCon Service. Broken coil roadspring at r/o/s found prior to test and replaced. AirCon now icy cold and as new. Courtesy car provided which was very useful as no buses run that route during the working day. I have used them for a few years now for servicing and MOT with no problems at all and absolutely no qualms about any recommended work being necessary. I would not hesitate to use them should major repairs ever be necessary.

I've been bringing my cars here for many years, for each MoT, servicing and repairs, and the guys here have always been reliable and helpful, and never tried to take advantage. Others I know who use this place say the same thing - they're more keen to help you and keep you as a loyal customer than to fleece you for as much as they can - they really understand that word of mouth is the best advertising. I had a vehicle fail an MoT on emissions, but as it was close to a pass they tried the emissions test a couple of times at different rev ranges to see if it'd just scrape through, but sadly not. Repairs I've had done here have always been done perfectly, with reasonable prices and no extra work done without checking with me first and agreeing a price. It's a family-run business, Andy and Garry are both lovely chaps. I'd be happy to recommend this garage to anyone.

Leyden Car Centre was recommended to me when my Mondeo was poorly (terminal gearbox and clutch issues). I took it to them expecting a large bill, but they called me before performing major surgery and advised me that it would be cheaper for me to buy another car than carry-out the work required. They patched me up for under £100 sufficient for it to live beyond the trade-in, and wished me well in finding its replacement. I duly did so, and they've looked after my 2003 Scenic ever since. They text me when my MoT is looming, and if I hear a new noise or a new light comes on (as is the way of ageing French metal) I can take it to them, safe in the knowledge that I won't be ripped-off. They didn't even charge for minor stuff (auto gearbox oil top-up for example), and they've kept her running for a few years without any major bills. They also did my cambelt very reasonably.
