John Macadam & Son Ltd, Carlisle

I filled my diesel engine car with petrol at 6pm on a cold and windy Sunday evening in Carlisle. Rang HSBC Breakdown (in association with Green Flag) from the petrol forecourt. I was given the option of being towed home to South Manchester or be towed to a local depot to have the tank syphoned (at pre-agreed cost £210). Got a call from the local recovery agent, John Macadam & Son (Rescue) Ltd to say Bob would be with me within 45 minutes. Bob duly arrived, hitched me to his trailer, towed me to the depot at the other side of Carlisle, opened up the shutters, made me a cup of tea. I waited in a warm, clean customer service area while he cracked on. By 8.15pm the job was done and paid for and I was back on the road. Instead of beating myself up for my costly error, I came away with positive thoughts about the service provided by HSBC/Green Flag/John Macadam & Son. Special thanks to Bob for his quick, efficient and friendly attention during my hour of need.
