Took car in to rectify a botched timing belt replacement (on 1.2TSI engine) carried out by another local independent garage. They carried out the work expertly and my car has been running like a charm ever since. Another fault developed a couple of weeks after which turned out to be unrelated to the work they carried out, however they went above and beyond and fixed the unrelated fault free of charge. Their prices are actually very competitive compared to independent garages, and their product knowledge and access to specialist tooling is obviously far superior. My experience with Johnsons Seat Preston has actually caused a paradigm shift in my thinking concerning the stigma surrounding main dealer pricing, and whereas I would previously have discounted taking my car to a main dealer for service and repair without thinking, I am now inclined to take my car there over independent garages. Fantastic customer service - mechanics/technicians and service managers knew precisely what they were doing, were very open about what was being carried out, and were very happy to answer specific technical questions/explain the specific setup on my vehicle.
