"Would Never Go Back"

In June l went to Harlow Autocare MOT Centre, Elizabeth Way, Harlow, for an mot test on my van. The staff were courteous and timely with the booking. However my van failed the mot test, with them diagnosing excessively worn front lower ball joints on both offside and nearside, and an issue with the handbrake. Whilst there, a member of staff suggested he knew someone who would buy the van from me if l wanted to sell it without getting the work done. I nearly booked the van in with them for the work to be carried out but took the van away to think about it. Subsequently, a few days later, l took the van to an alternative garage, to get the repairs made for it's mot. Image my shock and surprise when l received a call from the alternative garage who wanted to know why l wanted both front ball joints replaced, as they had thoroughly inspected them and they were perfectly fine and the work would be totally unnecessary. The van then passed the mot without them being touched saving me a considerable amount of money in the process. This of course begs the question, what the hell were Harlow Autocare MOT Centre up to? My trust in them has obviously disappeared through the floor and l have to call into question their honesty and working practices. If l had had the work done with them, l would never have known l was being deceived and would have been none the wiser, and may have, as a result, unwittingly left a favourable review. I certainly won't be returning there or recommending them to anyone. A sad reflection on some of the motor industry.
