Harbour Garage, Portishead

Beware ! Even when you've made and confirmed a booking, that doesn't mean they will honour it. I booked a month ahead for a body repair. When I turned up to drop the car off, I was told the booking had been crossed off for some reason, and that they are very busy and can't say when they can deal with it. Hopeless service. We've used them for many many years, but not any more.

I took my car to Harbour Garage for the first time, for some bodywork repairs. The assessment was informal but a price was quoted and agreed verbally, in a 'handshake' kind of mode. I took the car in and left it, and they called me when the work was finished, and sent a car to pick me up. The price was as agreed, and I was very happy with the quality of work. Good job!

I have used Harbour road garage for about five years and always feel confident with how I'm treated. I used to dread it when I had to seek help from a garage as some garages treat women like aliens when they need help and advice. Not so Harbour road. I never feel ripped off either. Which is fantastic!! I'd always recomment them.

My family have used harbour road for many, many years and they have never let us down. The facts that one family members brings a car from newbury and another brings cars from Cardiff for MOT/repairs speaks volumes for just how good they are. We have no hesistation in using them and recommending them.

I have used this garage twice now and this time was for my MOT. Even though it was more expensive that others in town, I decided to use Harbour Garage; I will definately be using them next time too. They provided a prompt, impressive service and even though my car needed work doing, there was no pressure to get it done with them. I did, however decide to let them carry it out and I am so impressed with the quick, efficient and thorough job that they did. They juggled things around to enable me to take the car in when it suited me and actually phoned when they said they would! Thank you all at Harbour Garage - you are great ..... except the jokes, that need a little more practice!!

Car needed to be MOT'd but having just moved to the area I was worried about which garage to opt for as there were several to choose from. I searched internet for recommendations and this was the only one where people had taken the time to say how good they were. And they were right! Really friendly and knowledgable staff and you knew by their interaction with customers that you were not going to be ripped-off. Highly, highly recommended.
