Definately the only garage I would use. These guys have an interest in what they do and are keen to help with your car. I can't give them too much praise. They have never let us down and always keep us informed of progress etc

For 18 months or so I had an intermittent problem - about half the time a warning of some kind showed, normally saying that the airbags needed servicing, but sometimes it was the alarm system or traction control - or even all 3 at once. The main dealer and an independent Volvo garage failed to get to the bottom of this - the diagnostics claimed the velocity sensor was incompatible, but I have paid for all the servicing for this car and know that the velocity sensor has never been changed. I explained all this to Dave at Excel. He initially had no idea how to fix it, but rather than telling me how difficult the issue was (as other garages did) he started investigating and eventually narrowed it down to the velocity sensor plug. He and a colleague hard wired the connections and the problem went away and - has stayed away. My experience is that a determination to fix problems rather than find excuses is a rare attribute in the motor trade but this is where it can be found. Undoubtedly this has avoided having to replace major components in order to sell the can or pass an MOT.
