"Disappointing experience, consider elsewhere"

I often write reviews, I have never had to write a negative review and it is a shame but despite Liam the salesman being very professional, helpful and personable the business management of Evans Halshaw falls far short of offering an effective or positive customer experience and service. I feel it is important to feed this back in the hope the move me closer processes can be improved. I requested and paid the fee for a move me closer vehicle, the car was needed by a given date, although ample time was factored into my purchase. 5 days after the purchase I was informed that the transport had not been completed as planned and therefore the car was going to be collected from the Worksop Garage. I was trying to arrange to collect the car 3 days after it should have arrived at Batley to be advised the day prior to collection, that on arrival to collect the car at Worksop it had been sold and was no longer available. Liam was professional and apologetic when he explained this, although I feel more could have been done by the business manager to try to redeem this significant issue. This not only wasted the time I spent at the garage in Batley initially, has wasted my time with the communication since and has resulted in having to spend further time today visiting local showrooms to purchase a car. Thankfully I have obtained a car from Trust Ford at Bradford, where the management and co-ordination of car sales appears to be far superior. Evans Halshaw's ineffective processes need to be resolved when we have electronic systems, this should not be too difficult. It is interesting as when reflecting on this with a friend today, they had a similar experience with Evans Halshaw. I would have given less stars if it had not been for Liam for whom I sympathise for having been put in this position.

I purchased a 2009 Ford Mondeo Titanium in March 2012. Daz, the sales executive was refreshingly straight forward and consequently I felt at ease. A couple of items were attended to without fuss before I purchased and when I returned to have some work done before the warranty expired I liaised with Helen who was helpful and efficient. Ian and Ken from the service department dealt with my questions sympathetically and made me feel like a valued customer.
