Elite Tyres, Thornbury

I had trouble removing the locking wheel nut on one of my wheels. It wouldn't undo for me and the special unlocking tool kept coming out of the nut and I could see it was getting rounded off in the process. I called Thornbury Tyre services who asked me to drop the car aound for them to look at. They initially had some trouble but managed to use a trolley jack to keep the socket and wrench in place and the nut was removed. They very kindly didn't charge me for this so I bought them some beer and dropped it off as a thank you.

Avoid this garage at all costs. Over 5 weeks ago my car had what I thought was a leak, which turned out to be a blown head gasket. I was told it would be a week. I've rung every two days, been in to see them, had family members in to see them. Every time ive been told it would be a couple more days and it would be their priority and still nothing. They haven't rung once to update me, they sent the engine to an engineer and apparently sent it back because they weren't happy with the job, gave me multiple excuses for why it wasn't ready and 5 weeks on I still dont have it. They have refused to reimburse me the costs of public transport and a hire car throughout. Two days ago I was told it would be ready that day. Later that day I was told tomorrow morning. That evening I was told first thing the next morning, after ringing again I've been told next week. I appreciate you have to expect delays, but not an additional 4 weeks. I highly recommend not to use this garage if you want your car back in a timely manner and with any communication.

Absolute bunch of rip offs!! 285 pounds for a coil pack change?? I ain't stupid. I know full well that this costs much less, and even when I questioned the garage clown he got rude and defensive about it knowing full well it didn't cost this much. He tried making out that the coils were 60 pounds each and then plus an hours labor. After some research I found that the cheap budget coils they used were less than 100 pounds for all 4. I didn't have much choice in the end as it was the closest garage to my workplace and I couldn't commute without a car. Stay away from these con men or be willing to be ripped off!!

Had car serviced and never put new oil in and broke engine cover whilst doing vastly overpriced fuel filter, second time this place has not put oil in. They just like fishing for uneccesary work

Had a fault with air conditioning problem identified and part ordered and fitted in no time, have used them many times for tyres too and best price around by miles.

Visited this garage having searched for best deal in area. Quoted me far less than nationwide tyre dealer. Good frienly service. Will go back when I need more tyres

Visited this garage as I had punctures in two tyres. They fitted two new ones for me at £36 less than nationwide supplier. Similar experience received by my daughter who used this company
