A common problem with Peugeot E208 (70 plate) is that the seals around the rear lights are inherently defective & fail on a regular basis. This leads to water ingresses & causes the lights to fail. ANY WATER INGRESSION in general is NOT COVERED on their full warranty. £134 for a diagnostic check required to tell my daughter that her brake lights weren’t working ( Which is what she booked it in to Budgen for )… £680 on top of that to replace both faulty rear light units (as both units have failed with the same problem!). £680 was doing the job at a reduced price as an act of good will ??.. she’s had the car just over 10 months. The moral of the story is read the warranty carefully & check what is & isn't covered…& avoid Peugeot 208’s!!!

after purchasing a 2007 Peugeot 307 after 3 years i purchased a extend 3 year warranty for piece off mind this year 5 years into the 6 year warranty i fell in to the warranty wording trap, the rear lights had a fault during it's MOT and 453467 switch kit needed to be replaced no worries im covered to be told that the warranty does not cover wiring which was pointed out to me by the staff, the mechanic was left bemused by this and could only apologise as he thought it came under the cover for electrical breakdown which is covered so be very weary folks of purchasing a peugeot from any dealer anything that has a wire in it and breaksdown your not coverd by the warranty

They also have a Citroen franchise now, great service helpful and very friendly, would highly recommend!
