Boscombe Garage, Folkestone

Wanted a service with new fanbelt and visual inspection of exhaust. I was asked when would I like an appointment, and then told: we can't do any work as mechanic off till march, no just service, inspection and fan belt change, oh OK that's alright she replied, when do you want that? I said any day, but in the afternoon, was told: prefer if you didn't leave it till late, I said: I could make it lunch time, (long pause) me: what about 11am her: ok! How much for a service? And was told £250 I asked what is included, is that with the fanbelt and exhaust inspection? No she said!! I stated I could get a full service under £150 I was then told she made up the figure??? I had had enough of her business ruining interaction and left the conversation, poor owner of that garage, I wonder how many other customers she is losing that business?

Pleas rad what is good about this garage. I cannot recommend them enough.

Went in needing a MOT. After booking in advance and telling them that my windscreen washers spray was not working. It took them 2 and half hours to tell me that I needed to go to a VW garage. As they could not fix the tiny problem. None of the staff were helpful or welcoming. The man who was dealing with my car was also moving at 1mph. After that I went to a different garage and only thing wrong with my car was the windscreen washer fuse had blown they change it and I was given my MOT and off I went. Would not recommend this garage to anyone as my experience there was terrible.

Small very friendly garage with helpful eager-to-please staff.

Terrible garage. Had an MOT with them and failed on tyres (which was correct) and my suspension which was far from correct, i know this because i had my suspension checked about 2 months before hand and had absolutely no problem with it what so ever. So i decided to take it to two other garages (after the MOT) and both garages confirmed there was nothing wrong with my suspension, i then re-MOT'd it in another garage (after i changed the tyres) and they passed it. I have since heard from other people that they are VERY picky and just pick up very slight problems and fail it for no reason so they get more work Avoid at all costs.

I've been using this garage for a couple of years, my family have too. They're not hugely high-tech and a bit laid back, but they always explain things and do their best to fit me in quickly if needed. Not over-priced - a really nice, back-street garage.
