Benham BMW, Wolverhampton

In late May my wife’s five year old BMW 1 series suffered a complete loss of power that required a major engine rebuild costing in excess of £9000. The car had been purchased new from Benham BMW Wolverhampton and they carried out the work over a period of four weeks. The total cost of the repair was funded by BMW/Benham, a gesture that I consider excellent customer service above and beyond what I expected. Well done BMW/Benham.

My 5 year old, previously totally reliable from new, BMW 330 Coupe developed an intermittent engine fault. The dealer diagnosed fuel injection problems. All the injectors were replaced and BMW contributed 80% of the cost. Unfortunately 2 months later the same fault returned but this time the fault became constant. The dealer quoted £900 for the cost of a new fuel pump without labour but said they would discount the part by £100. However when I collected the car I was only asked to to pay £500 as the rest was paid by BMW as a goodwill gesture. Considering this is a 5 year old car without warranty I consider this to be excellent service.
