RAC dropped my son's car off here because it is RAC acredited to get some work done on the warranty. Explained it needed ht leads, guy phoned next day said it was not covered under warranty but could do work the cost of the leads £100 pounds then he is £60 pound per hour labour rate plus vat. I collected the car with my son and was charged 72 pounds when all the guy had done was pulled cover off ht leads and disconnected 1 lead and made a phone call for cost of parts the car was left on the road away from garage I was amazed at how much he charged for basically looking and pulling one lead off hes explanation was cost of rent machines etc etc I asked if he had run a diagnostic test he said no so what am I paying 72 pounds for he said a hour of his time when he clearly spend less than 5 mins on car I purchased the leads myself cost 35 pounds put them on in under 5 mins, not a trustworthy garage

Had been looking around to find a reasonably priced supplier of a replacement/reprogrammed car key and fob for a Renault Clio. Quoted £175 by main dealer and three weeks lead time. AVC got the parts and security code from a Friday ordering to following Monday delivery. Worked first time at a fraction of the main dealer price.
