This garage had my car for over 3 weeks in total, their mechanic took it home in the evenings, the Mini cover for the engine is missing, £700 worth of parts were change as it “could be this” and “could be that”. After I had taken two weeks off work at further costs to myself I had to collect my car which was returned to me with this issue unresolved. I was assured that they would call me with a courtesy car and get to the bottom of this, it’s July now and I still haven’t had a phone call and my email to the garage has had no response. I have since been to yet another garage, and the issue with my car was known in less than 30 mins, they changed the part and tested it over 24 hours without charging me to ensure this was indeed the problem. AutoTech were happy for me to drive away in a car that wasn’t functioning properly even after they experimented with it, and haven’t even had the decency to speak to me or respond to my email. If they didn’t know, why couldn’t they just say? What type of person just experiments with ones car on a whim and charges them even though the issue is unresolved with parts the car didn’t need? If you have money to burn, give it to charity. Do not take your car here, it will cost you money for their experiments.

AVOID my car was leaking oil from the gear box. I took it to them with an invoice from my work that outlined the issue and stated that it was the sideplate/sump. They rang me up and said it was a leaking sump, so agreed to have it replaced. A few weeks later I had my car up on a ramp and noticed my new sump was wet with oil. I took it back and they pointed out that the side plate was also leaking and had been dripping down onto the sump. So, in summary, I could have just paid £700 to replace a sump that may not have been leaking in the first place. Also whilst checking my dash cam I heard clear as day what the mechanics really thought about me. Completely unjustified and not what I expected from a garage someone recommended to me. Also on my dash cam, I caught the garage jet washing my engine. A task that took two minutes and that they charged me £130 for!

This is the third or fourth time I have used Autotech over the years and every time I have been impressed. The team are friendly, attentive and the expertise second to none. I cannot recommend Autotech highly enough.
