The car was due a major service. This was completed and all faults cleared. Competitively priced for a Porsche.

I recently used ACC for repairs to my Porsche Boxster 987 and found them very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They carried out the work I requested in full, to a high standard and within the agreed timescale, the price was very reasonable. Whilst Bristol is a 50 mile trek from home, I will be using ACC for future works to my Porsche.. I have no hesitation in recommending ACC....

http://www.advancedcarcare.co.uk/ In 2 1/2 years of ownership, I've taken my 911 Carrera 3.2 to 3 Bristol centres, Dick Lovett (Porsche official dealer), another independent, and Advanced Car Care. Advanced Car Care provide a level of service with honest, reliable communication and pricing which keep me going there rather than their competitors! The workshop is fairly small, tucked away in a cosy industrial estate workshop, behind Airbus on Golf Course Lane, Filton, Bristol. All 3 guys (Jake, Pete and Chad) are friendly and knowledgeable, whilst offering good service at competitive prices. I can usually get it booked in with relatively short notice, although Jake told me the other day that they were getting busier recently and things take a bit longer to get booked in - good for them! They use genuine Porsche parts and can source them direct from Porsche Bristol often on the same day, if not pretty quickly. Not bad for my 23 year old car with 130k on the clock. Advanced Car Care also have a good relationship with Brin Jones body shop (Porsche approved), also on the same industrial estate, so my car has several times been up to see them both one after the other - to keep the body and the mechanicals in fine fettle, which is very convenient. I had never been there before in late 2009 and was looking for a second opinion on a problem with a drivers door mechanism which did not lock with the key (central locking only operational from passenger side). (Note that prior to visiting Advanced Car Care, I had first of all asked the other independent to have a look - they told me the door locking mechanism would probably have to come out (door inserts out job), re-adjusted and all put back together again, which would have been several £'hundred at their spurious labour rates) When I turned up on a Saturday morning and asked Advanced Car Care what they advised, Pete grabbed a can of WD40, stuck it in the key hole, squirted a few times, turned the key a few times to loosen up the key barrel from dirt/gunge, and hey presto, after approx 90 seconds, all was well. Price - zero. Value - I go back every time to Advanced Car Care now! Some quality old fashioned service with a smile and I am now a regular customer for them. I did feel a bit foolish having not tried this myself, however felt that I could trust them with telling me the truth about the car. Now they do all my servicing, MoTs and electrical fixes and other tuning and mechanical work. Great job guys, keep it up!
