I purchased an ex-demonstrator 1.6 diesel Octavia from MSB Skoda in Darlington in August 2010. To date I have been very pleased with both the car and the aftercare service from MSB. However, after about 25,000 miles I noticed a thrumming noise from the back wheels. When I asked MSB to investigate they diagnosed a rear wheel alignment problem, which had caused uneven wear around the inner tyres. The remedial work was carried out under warranty, but I asked if Skoda UK would go part way to the cost of two new tyres, as to be fair I had had a fair amount of wear already. After a few emails and telephone conversations Skoda offered to meet the full cost of replacing both tyres. I just wanted to say that all the positive reports I had read about Skoda customer services are born out by this excellent response from both Skoda UK and MSB Darlington.
