Are Skoda DSGs reliable?

I am looking at a 2013 Skoda Octavia Scout Mk2 with a DSG gearbox. What is the reliability of the DSG gearbox in this model? Are there any specific service requirements for this gearbox I should be checking in the cars history? I would be using the car for towing a small caravan occasionally.
The second generation Octavia Scout was fitted with a 2.0-litre diesel engine, and therefore we would expect it to be fitted with a wet clutch version of the DSG gearbox such as the DQ250. On older vehicles equipped with DSG the wet clutch variants tend to be more reliable than the dry clutch versions, which are typically fitted to cars with engines under 2.0-litre and only vehicles with front-wheel-drive. We would take a close look at the service history, and ideally the DQ250 gearbox should have a change of oil and filter every 40,000 miles, and we would continue with gearbox servicing at these intervals to ensure its reliability, particularly if you are planning to tow with the vehicle.
