Should I change the oil in my new car after 1000 miles?

I have a new Lexus LBX that has now done 1200 miles. The oil change interval is the standard 10,000 miles or 12 months. I've read that some would suggest changing the oil and filter now that it's done over 1000 miles, do you think its worth getting this done? Would it invalidate the warranty?
Unless the vehicle has reached 12 months or 10,000 miles an oil change is not necessary. There's nothing to stop you having it changed at this point, but if you choose to do so at this point we would suggest having it carried out at the dealer so it is recorded as part of the vehicle's service history.
