The fan on my car keeps running when it's switched off - what is the cause?
My 2015 Peugeot 3008 fan keeps running after switching off the engine. It suddenly dies off but immediately you start the car and turn it off, the fan will start running again and it's affecting the car's battery. Is there a solution?
There will be certain circumstances where the cooling fan will remain on after the engine has been switched off. This is to ensure that the residual heat is dissipated .
Dependent on the heat of the engine will determine how long the fan will run and could be from 2 minutes up to 7 or 8 minutes. Although this might sound odd but check that your oil filler cap is fitted correctly if it isn't then this could be the problem. Other than that we would check the fan relay and if in doubt replace
