Dear Mr Pozzi, we are sorry you felt that we were dismissive of your vehicle. It was explained to you that in our professional opinion your vehicle was in a very dangerous state. And, I hope you understand that when you asked us to fit the parts you were looking to source from various parts of the world. We, said no. We only fit original or genuine parts for vehicles. If for example you were involved in an accident. We would be putting ourselves in a compromised situation, which we choose not to do. We did say, we thought it was in your and our best interests to perhaps find another garage. Please do not make false accusations over references to 'posh' cars. You know this is not the case, and this was not mentioned. But it is is a fact that we can choose which vehicles we work on. And I feel it is unfair of you to make this judgement as it came down to the very poor condition of your vehicle. Nothing else. I brought my 2006 Honda to Witherspoon Motor Services for an MOT and was negatively stunned by the treatment. Without prompting, the owner informed me that they no longer wanted me as a client, as my car wasn’t posh enough for them. I hadn’t asked for any special treatment or discount, paid the full amount—yet was dismissed purely based on their judgment of my car. I’ve rarely encountered such arrogance in a business. Appalling service, focused more on appearances than on substance. At this point, I’d question whether they’re even worth the price they charge.

Have used them for many years for main car and classic sports. Highly knowledgeable team and friendly staff.

Witherspoons did an MOT on my Audi A4 Avant 2.0 Tdi (£50), changed two tyres (which I had delivered to them) (£18 ex VAT) and replaced an EGR valve (parts cost £303.03, inc VAT; labour was £108 inc VAT). All done well, on time. Service was quick, staff were informative and overall very professional. The only slight annoyance was not telling me about having to take old cars away with me - but that was no biggie (does mean a star dropped on helpfulness). As was first time user, chose largely on Audi/VW specialism and the fact that they charged less for diagnostics £35 vs £60+ at Audi dealership or Bosch service. I would choose them next time for reliability and value for money. There are no frills (ie no courtesy car, no pick up or delivery service) which they were up front about. Would highly recommend.
