My daughter's car was suffering a rear brake problem when she visited me. The garage responded promptly and took the car in. The diagnosis was a seized brake calliper which was freed and the brake pads replaced. A few weeks later the problem recurred. Another mechanic fixed the fault by replacing the calliper, but observed that it had not been properly installed to function correctly with the electric handbrake system.
