booked online- it was not picked up I wanted a minor service, merely the other issues I mentioned. Woman I spoke with could not give a price ! Not at all ! Said she would phone me with cositngs duirng the day but did not. Very disapppointed as used to use this garage a lot. Not impressed with bill, nor asking me if I wanted things replacing.

I had my clutched changed with them because my uncle recommended them and so I had used them a number of time. They charged me £500. Upon checking the internet and phoning around for quotes the standard rate is £300. When I challenged them, they said parts were £90, vat £80, and said it was because their labour costs were more expensive, £200 more expensive than other garages. Not an honest garage.

I purchased a 4 year old Skoda Octavia 1.9 Auto in May from the Wheatley Car Centre near Oxford, and found a few teething problems, including a cracked speedo glass. On returning the car, the speedo glass was replaced and the other problems were traced to the Central Processing Unit, which was reprogrammed to resolve them. A Courtesy car was provided and the car was returned with no charge. Recently, I queried the timing of the auto change, and again the car was taken in for investigation, a courtesy car provided, and the auto box investigated by a third party. No specific problems were found, but the autobox programme was reset and the car again returned without charge. I cannot fault the after care customer service, and would willingly recommend this garage to anyone who was thinking of purchasing a used vehicle.
