12 months ago I booked my car into a Ford service only agent at the last minute after the Ford dealer i was booked into for a service went into liquidation. They had previously carried out a decent job. The service agent left the car dirty, with interior trim hanging loose where the OBD port is and I was not convinced they did a proper job and possibly even 'found' work to do. This year I used an independent on the way into work about whom I had heard some reasonable reports from taxi drivers. They appeared knowledgeable about matters when i visited to book the car in, and were obliging in looking a few things for me. After the service they went around the car showing what they had found/done and it was clear that they had performed a more thorough inspection and check that the previous services. The price including new brakes pads all round ( I knew that they needed doing), new wiper blades, some other minor jobs and a full main service was about £300 inc VAT. Good value I think. I will use them again.

This garage is near to me, so I decided to give them a go. The staff are very friendly. They did a good job at a good price. I liked the fact that they showed me the faulty part of the car. I liked this because I could see for myself that I wasn't going to be ripped off. They were also able to diagnose a noise fault that I had been looking for for ages. I was very impressed with this. On this basis, I decided to use them again for the mot and it passed with no extra work needed. I now know this garage will not make up jobs just to earn a bit more money. They have given me confidence in them and I will certainly be using them again.
