My Freelander developed an alarming intermittent clunking sound just before I was due to make an important journey. I have it serviced at Station garage and visited on a busy Saturday morning for a safety check. Despite not having a booking they fitted me in, put it on a ramp and checked that nothing major was amiss. They wouldn't accept any payment and I am very happy with their level of service.

Got my car in for change of engine belt. After fixing they left a valve open that resulted the coolant leaking out. I was on the motorway when the car stopped and had two truck drivers help me to safety. Car towed to a garage and upon inspection the garage told me that I had a leak from what the previous garage had left open that fried the engine because there was no coolant left. Went back to the garage who disputed it and made me pay for a new engine while stealing parts from my car. The engine was second hand with only one year guaranteed and the whole thing collapsed in 6 months. It costed me £987 in just trying to recover from their incompetence and dishonesty while almost costing me my life on the motorway.

Always great value for money and reliable service. Never been advised to have any unnecessary work done here and Station Garage even managed to quickly diagnose and repair faults caused by local VW main dealer whom were unable to diagnose after over 20 return visits (faulty water pump fitted during cambelt change stopping heating from working and engine immobilizer relay fault)

I've used this garage for repairs rather than my Toyota dealer in London. All work was done to a high standard at totally transparent and reasonable costs. Two O2/Lambda sensors replaced £300 and fitting a radiator I sourced myself charging £60 in labour. They even saved me money after rechecking faults Toyota advised could cost over £800 to investigate and maybe fix. One was a minor low pressure oil leak from the timing side, Toyota wanted over £500 in labour! The other fault was my kaput aircon. Toyota test charged it with green dye which leaked out in a hour and then estimated £300 to sort that too, so I left it as it summer had passed. So last year I visited Station Garage for quotes for both jobs. They cleaned the underneath, fully charged the aircon then told me to drive around a bit and return a few days later. They couldn't find the oil leak, told me to monitor it and check the oil level. After 9 months there was a slight oily film on the under-tray so OK to leave alone, it can be expected for a 9 year old 55k miler. The aircon was totally cured! The gas has a lubricant so it was suggested the Toyota test charge sealed the system a year earlier. So all Station charged me was around £50 to recharge the aircon. A potential saving of over £750. I now also know to use the aircon occasionally all year round. Other garages could have pulled the wool over my eyes and just undercut Toyota by £100. I think they are so busy its easier to make more money honestly, by only doing essential work, and retaining customers.
