St John's Garage, Worcester

A very daunting verbal experience with the owner. One I'd rather forget. My car went in with 2 water leaks. I pointed out two places, where the water was entering the car and I left. I was advised the car was ready for collection 2 days later. I paid the bill in full. Unknowingly, I left with the same 2 water leaks. However, I was treated very courteously by the staff on this first visit and left feeling well looked after. I returned the car to the garage a few days later, with the same problems again to be rectified. (My car had been on my drive during a downpour and was wet inside) On the 2nd collection I dealt with the owner. Time will tell if the leaks have been rectified. Would you be happy to pay twice?? At first I found the owner likeable and approachable, however his attitude changed, when I questioned if the car had been water tested the first time, as if it had, surely it would be known the water was still getting in. (as it had in the downpour) I questioned paying twice. He said I didn't see his point re further labour charges, he had to pay his mechanics. He said you try certain things first, which I understood. He made me feel really uncomfortable. Especially as I was standing there with my debit card, saying just let me pay and I will leave. He just kept on talking at me. He wasn't happy when I said I would leave a negative review, and he said either his wife was a solicitor, or she worked at a solicitors, which I felt was a threat. Staff I spoke with, were very courteous on both occasions and the waiting room has a nice welcoming atmosphere. The Curtesy car was greatly appreciated. This garage was recommended to me by some one I know, for this water leak issue. The owner made the comment, "Why didn't I get him to repair my car then" My experience means I cannot recommend this garage and I was glad to leave.

Needed an MOT on the morning I rang due to car tax issues. St John’s understood my situation and went out of their way to squeeze the car in. Great service.

I have been using this garage for several years, and my only disappointment has been that they sometimes advise me not to change parts they think don’t need changing. That apart the service has been excellent, and the prices very fair too.

Always a brilliant service from this garage, the staff are so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help fix a problem with my car so it could pass it's MOT. Massive thank you to Chris and the team for their time and expertise. Couldn't recommend them enough!

I have used this garage since moving to Worcester on the recommendation of an RAC man and have been extremely pleased with the service given to me. They keep my 15 yr old car on the road in excellent condition and I am always pleased with the service and courtesy I receive. In particular Chris who understands the eccentricities of my old Mercedes and its's owner.

No complaints other than paying lol

I have been using this garage for a number of years now for mots and servicing all our family's cars. They have always been very helpful, honest and reliable. Nothing has been to hard for them to fix and they have a great attitude and talk you through any repairs and costing including which is the best option. Thoroughly recommend them and happy to travel 15 miles from our current address to use them .

I have been using this Garage for the last ten years, and they never disappoint. I recently had a problem with my car and Matt and his team were fantastic in resolving this and doing so in a timely manner. I took my car to them on a busy Saturday unable to give them prior warning and they were prompt in identifying the issue, ordered the necessary part ( and kept following up to ensure it arrived ASAP) when the parts were delivered the problem was fixed straight away. All involved were fantastic with what they did and enabled me to get to netball and wedding commitments that day. Highly recommend.

This is a very good independent garage with good service and much lower costs than main dealers. The lead mechanic has a reputation locally as something of a genius with any type of engine. The garage has a particular specialism in Mercedes cars but they deal with all makes so don't be put off if your car is not a Merc. I had a problem with the electronic throttle on my 10 year old SLK which a main dealer had failed to diagnose or cure. St John's correctly identified the problem and even found a supplier of a reconditioned unit, which greatly reduced the cost of the rapair. This garage is also very good at keeping you in touch with progress while your vehicle is being repaired or serviced.
