I now only take my cars to Steve and Lorraine at SM Autos. They really try to help where possible and give honest advice. They are friendly and approachable with a knowledge of vehicles that is far better than many other garages I have used in the past. I am always pleasantly surprised when I get the bill too. They are very reasonably and realistically priced. I would also be willing to recommend then to Lady drivers as they treat everyone with respect. keep up the good work

My car needed a service but I wasn't sure whether a full or interim is needed. Lady at SM Auto, Lorraine, said I need a full service. I asked why an interim service isn't enough, as my car has just passed its MOT and had several checks already. Lorraine glared at me, said she's not selling anything and that a full service will include this and that and various other things. Silly me settled for a full service, and car came back with lots of problems. The only problem a naive driver like me noticed was clinking noises when changing gears. A mechanic friend looked over my car and said there are more problems that this: gearbox oil removed, not changed; missing nail under front cover and problems with exhaust and camp belt, to speak a few. Basically, I paid for this garage to ruin my car. I now have to go to a different garage for more work done. So to sum up, either worship these people and don't question them, just pay, or ask innocent questions like I did and pay them to ruin your car. I will be warning everyone I know about this garage.

I Passed by this garage and noticed they do welding and general repair work as well as auto body repairs. I needed MOT failure work done to my vehicle and had been quoted exorbitant prices at some garages, so I decided to give S M Auto & Body Repairs a try. Right from the start I had confidence in how they dealt with my enquiry. I took the vehicle in and price for the work was given. It was VERY reasonable, so I decided to let them do the work. The vehicle has now passed the MOT and I am very satisfied with the work. I Highly recommend this garage. Rod Horton.
