Our Mk6 Golf had a rattle in the dash. It took two attempts to diagnose and repair, which was eventually satisfactory, but there were dirty finger marks on the A pillar and small trim marks where the dash had been removed. For the car's service it was supposed to have been cleaned afterwards, but this was not done. In addition, the service warning indicator had not been reset, entailing a further visit.
